Little did the Hindi film impressario Randeep Hooda know that his now iconic dialogue pertaining to Salman Khan coming down to his domain in order to collect his "Eidi" would turn out to be both prophetic as well as clairvoyant.........
According to the Hindi film industry's box office return "Bible, Geeta and Quran", TRADE GUIDE is all set to rewrite box office records all over the country what with it having garnered a net sum of Rs. 127.03 crore within the first six days of it's release...........
"Kick" which was simultaneously released in more than 5,000 screens nationwide as well as 42 countries worldwide on July 25 has garnered box office collections amounting to a sum of a little over 19 crore from it's overseas release..........
Though the film was unanimously thumbed down by the critics and only garnered ratings varying between 0.5-2.5 stars out of 5 from the self styled intellegensia of the Hindi film industry; Salman Khan's legions of die hard and loyal fans did not let him down and set the cash registers ringing resoundingly much to Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala's untold delight........
Trade pundits also point out that the next big release Akshay Kumar's "that's Entertainment" releasing on August 8 gave Salman's Kick a clear two week run at the turnstiles and the godsend opportunity of bypassing "Ek Tha Tiger's" whopping box office collections that amounted to a little over 190 crore or so...........
Like it or leave it, but there is certainly no ignoring it; "KICK" is well on it's way towards becoming Salman Khan's greatest ever box office hit notwithstanding nitpicking critics and naysayers who had predicted it's "waterloo" within two days of it's release............
