Love or rather unrequited or then one sided love does strange things to all manner of people, it makes saints of some of them and reduces others to conniving and sinister cold blooded murderers..........
Sample this for good measure, a spurned and scorned 39 year old suitor and long time resident of our national capital stabbed his so called love interest a minimum of 50 times and then left her copiously bleeding body to rot in a modest dwelling in South East Delhi's Govindpuri locality.........
Anish Kumar (39), the alleged murderer has since been arrested by the Delhi Police and has confessed to this diabolic crime while trying to justify the same by sating that he was perplexed and vexed by his so called girlfriend who had taken to "avoiding" him off late.........
Balbir Kaur (23) who was gainfully employed as a mid level executive at a reputed multinational telecom company had gone missing on April 23 and her harried and hapless father had filed a missing complaint with the Okhla Industrial Area Police personnel the very next day.........
An earnest effort to trace her whereabouts led the investigating police personnel towards Anish as friends of the victim alluded to the fact that she had been receiving numerous telephone calls from one Anish off late and seemed to be deeply disturbed and perturbed by the same........
Zeroing in on Anish's mobile phone proved to be of immense value as the Delhi police sleuths soon established the fact that Anish had stepped out of the confines of the national capital and was moving around in Haridwar, Rishikesh and such other places within the hill state of Uttarakhand without a seeming care in the world........
A Delhi police team led by ACP Usha Rangnani as well as SHO Naresh Solanki established Anish's exact or precise location within Haridwar and arrested him during the course of a late night raid on his hideout late on Wednesday night and Anish confessed to his crime of passion while repeatedly braking down under sustained and relentless police interrogation.........
He more than willingly admitted the fact that he had made up his mind about doing away with Balbir some two or so months ago and also led the investigating team to the modest house that he had rented in Govindpuri's nondescript lane number 6 in the wee hours of Thursday morning.......
Anish also willingly revealed the fact that he had been exerting relentless pressure on Balbir and had been after her to meet him for the last three months or so but she had rudely and brusquely brushed off his romantic overtures and fervent pleas, he went on to say that he somehow managed to convince her into making her way towards the said house on the evening of April 23, 2014 and went to work on her as soon as she set foot into the same with two knives fashioned out of a pair of scissors.......
"I started imploring her to marry me and even propitiated myself at her feet in an effort to win her over, but was enraged beyond all reasonable limits when she steadfastly refused to accept my proposal, I soon whipped out the two knives that I had sharpened to razor edge sharpness stabbed her multiple times all over her anatomy reducing her to a copiously bleeding mass of humanity, locked the house and set off for Haridwar immediately after committing the demonic deed", Anish said.........
Balbir's highly decomposed body was handed over to her grieving family members on Thursday afternoon and was consigned to holy flames at a South Delhi crematorium on Thursday evening while Anish is cooling his heels and ardour in a Delhi jail while awaiting the eventual outcome of his inhuman deeds............
