ACTING IN HASTE AND REPENTING AT LEISURE.........

Judges or more precisely High Court and District Court Judges seem to be bearing the brunt of plaintiffs or complainants ire or irateness what with a few of them resorting to hurling phones and other such objects at them in order to show their displeasure.........
A woman petitioner was firstly arrested and then unceremoniously bundled out of the precincts of the Patna Civil Court Premises on Friday afternoon as she had shown the gravest disrespect to the sitting District Court Judge Birendra Kumar by hurling her cellphone at him in a fit of unprovoked rage.........
Hurling the cell phone at the judge did indeed prove to be dear for the woman in question for she was subsequently remanded to judicial custody and incarcerated in the city's Beur Jail up to May 22 (her bail plea comes up for hearing on that day).........
Police sources said that Rita Singh a resident of the Alauddin Chowk area in Saran District had filed a petition in the district judge's court imploring the court to cancel the bail granted to her in-laws forthwith; she had been doing the rounds of the district courts for the last 7-8 days and the cursory dismissal of her petition proved to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back in her case........
Judge Birendra Kumar emerged unscathed as he ducked under the projectile hurled at him which sailed harmlessly over his head and struck the wall behind him with a resounding crack; an ongoing property dispute between the family members is said to be the cause for the woman's deplorable behaviour.........
Police personnel who were present in plenty in the court premises promptly took the woman in question into custody and an FIR was lodged against her at the capital city's Pirbahore police station by Ashok Kumar Sharma, bench clerk of the said judge..........
She (the vengeful woman) was subsequently produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate Anil Kumar Ram who remanded her to judicial custody and posted further matters pertaining to the case for hearing on May 22, 2014............
One now realises the hidden or latent meaning within the dictum of acting in haste repenting at leisure as a moment's madness can lead to your cooling your heels within the narrow confines of a desultory jail cell for some time to come..........
