IS MODI'S GUJARAT REALLY SHINING??????

Like it or hate it, but there is certainly no ignoring the Aam Aadmi Party, as much as both the Congress as well as the BJP might like to wish away the same as nothing more than a mere irritant, the more the Aam Aadmi Party is getting under their skin........
Jayanthilal Jethalal Mevada a 60 year old former policeman, farmer, philanthropist, social worker and last but not the least Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Ahmedabad West is the latest irritant for the saffron party as he has not only been eliciting an overwhelming response at his impromptu roadside rallies but also make considerable inroads into what has traditionally been a BJP bastion........
According to Mevada, the poor man or the man who has thus far been deprived of the most basic human necessities are utterly fed up with the mindless antics of the two so called national parties and fervently looking forward to a change and a candidate who will hear their voice and respond to their age old concerns.......
" I have ventured into the innermost recesses of remote and far flung areas like Dariapur, Danilimda and Asarva; while the upper and middle classes have access to all facilities and amenities provided by the official machinery, the poor and downtrodden sections still continue to be deprived of the most basic facilities like water and sanitation", he adroitly points out..........
In order to help school children with their education and schooling, Mevada has set up the " Nav Chetna Education Trust", "school facilities are practically non existent in places like Dahod and children are continually dropping out of government or NGO run schools as they do not have the funds required to buy books and other educational materials", he says........
"This informal trust that is yet to be registered was set up in collusion with a few former colleagues from the police force and other well meaning citizens who shared the common view that education was the only way through which these impoverished kids could be empowered and uplifted".........
"Donations though sporadic do continue to pour in and if the present trickle turns into a deluge, then we well might consider setting up a vocation centre that will impart life sustaining skills to these kids from the poorest and most deprived sections of society", he signs off........
One wonders why Modi still continues to insist that all is well with Gujarat and that he is in charge of a state that is "vibrant, shining and a role model for the rest of the country"........
Mr. Modi kindly set your own house in order first before lecturing the rest of the country as people who live in glass houses are not cut out to hurl stones at others.........
