UNCONTROLLABLE ROAD RAGE.......

The national capital's denizens do not only seem to be losing control over their basic instincts but also their mental sanity and equilibrium as road rage incidents are once again in spate......
In one more case of unprovoked road rage, the son of a Delhi Police head constable opened fire on a person who was supposedly slow and tardy in giving him the right of way on a road in the Chhawla area of south west Delhi.........
According to Delhi police sources, the above mentioned incident took place in the vicinity of a bus stand in the area at around 7:30 am on Tuesday morning and the victim was lucky to escape with his life as the bullet fired by the assailant shattered the window on the driver's side before speeding away........
Surender, (the son of the head constable) was on his way home after a night of merry making with a friend in his Maruti swift car when he came across Jitender who was in the process of dropping off his kids to school in his Maruti Wagon-R......
Surender began honking incessantly and mouthing choicest profanities at Jitender who was driving his car at a sedate speed and when his boorish behaviour failed to have the desired behaviour he took one hand of his car's steering wheel whipped out a revolver and fired at least four shots (bullets) at Jitender's car in a fool hardy attempt to gain the upper hand and assert his supremacy (mardaangi in the local lingo)............
The very same police sources in the same breath also elucidate the fact that a major catastrophe was averted as the normally bustling road was largely deserted owing to the early hour and heave a huge sigh of relief that the four to five bullets fired by the absconding Surender sped away without causing anybody grievous harm........
A case has been duly booked against the absconder under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and the relevant sections of the arms act, three teams have also been constituted to apprehend the much wanted Surender at the earliest,,,,,,,
One wonders why a significant majority of us have lost our ability to control or temper our momentary insane or then should I say murderous urges and why we are showing an ever increasing propensity to give in or succumb to the same without even bothering to consider or ponder over the consequences of the actions performed or initiated by us in a fit of uncontrollable rage or raving madness........
Should yoga classes, meditation techniques, art of living methods or temper control techniques be made mandatory for all car owners in the national capital and other parts of the country in the backdrop off the road rage incidents that seem to have become the norm rather than the exception; off late....
Your invaluable opinions, comments and insights on this burning issue will be compiled and collated with due diligence and care and subsequently forwarded to the concerned authorities at the earliest........
