STOIC AND MYSTIFYING SILENCES.........

Messrs N.Srinivasan as well as Neeraj Kumar's (Delhi Police Commissioner) silence on the latest developments in the IPL match/spot fixing scandal is both mystifying, bewildering and replete with hidden meanings and inferences........

One may do well to recall the fact both these gentlemen went into damage control mode within the IPL match/spot fixing scandal hitting the headlines and combined heaven and earth in a misplaced and self serving attempt to contain this Frankestein monster and not let it spread it's tentacles beyond the eleven arrested bookies and the three alleged match/spot fixers masquerading as cricketers.......

Subsequent events and development in this high profile case have certainly made these two afore mentioned gentlemen (?) eat humble pie if not crow, Neeraj Kumar has been forced to grudgingly concede the fact that more franchises, teams as well as cricketers may be involved in the imbroglio........

Whereas, the dictatorial and overbearing N.Srinivasan has been incommunicado and hard to find ever since news off the inextricable links between the disgraced actor Vindoo Dara Singh and his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan have come to hit the headlines.......

While N.Srinivasan is not prone to making grandiose statements and pronouncements his holier than thou attitude and propensity to brush any and every unsavoury incident or happening under the carpet or then resort to time worn cliches in an effort to mount a defence has certainly not stood him in good stead.......

As for Mr. Neeraj Kumar, the less said the better, he put his foot in his mouth repeatedly during the aftermath of the horrifying incident that took place in the national capital on the fateful night of December 16, 2012; his statements and pronouncements defied logic and were often the butt of derision and ridicule........

He however continued with these grandiose statements and pronouncements and only stopped when these came around and bit him on his ample behind.......

Haven't these gentlemen heard of the dictums; "once bitten twice shy", "what goes around does certainly come around" and "measure your words repeatedly before you speak or utter them", one only hopes that both these people have become wiser in hindsight........

Better still why don't they take a leaf out of Sardar Manmohan Singh's book assume a vow of silence and let people around them make what they will of their stoic and perturbing silence..........
