This is why I love, admire, venerate and worship the Pied Piper of Punjab; Yuvraj Singh......
* because of his humility, humbleness, vivacity, sense of humour and sage like equanimity in the most trying circumstances.....
* for letting his bat do the talking instead of bragging about his considerable achievements in his chosen field.......
* being a consummate team man and patriot who has always put team and country before personal accomplishments and glory......
* his generosity, magnanimity and ability to stand by his friends and family no matter what.....
* regards and respect for elders, warmth and sense of camaraderie with people younger than him and belonging to the same age bracket......
* his never say die spirit and admirable quality of fighting being from the precipice of oblivion against seemingly insurmountable odds......
* the inherent ability to look at the brighter side of a dark and desolate cloud that threatened to overwhelm him and sweep him away in it's wake.......
* for being a fighter who never ever gave up even when others told him that his time on planet earth was always up........
* for being the living embodiment of courage, belief in oneself, the almighty and one's mother's blessings; all these and the selfless prayers and blessings of his countless fans and well wishers gave him a second shot at life......
* for being the stereotypical Mama's boy and doing his mama's bidding more often than not......
* for penning/writing an inspirational book that is slated for release on his forthcoming birthday (December 12) as the same is sure to be a source of inspiration and enlightenment to countless fans and well wishers like moi........
* for having displaced the now disgraced Lance Armstrong from the immensely high pedestal that I placed him on and having occupied the same with his sterling deeds and noble intentions to make a difference in the lives of millions of Indians afflicted with the deadly scourge of cancer........
Yuvraj is the living embodiment of courage, sacrifice, self belief and inherent ability to beat back and defy death when it's staring you in the face; here's wishing him an event filled decade in international cricket, renewed good health and all success in his noble venture to alleviate the sufferings of all cancer patients in India.......
